Advisory - Insurance Commissioner tours Redding wildfire zone and meets with survivors at LAC
CDI consumer services team on hand at local assistance center to help wildfire survivors
REDDING, Calif. — Commissioner Jones will visit the wildfire zones affected by the Carr Fire in Shasta County and meet with wildfire survivors and insurers working to expedite claims at the Local Assistance Center where he has deployed Department of Insurance consumer services experts to help survivors.
Jones declared an emergency situation allowing insurers to use qualified out-of-state adjusters who work under the insurance company’s California license. Jones also issued two notices to speed recovery efforts including one to expedite claims and a second to instruct insurers to make sure claims adjusters are properly trained on California law. Jones is available for interviews during his visit.

The tour will go to Sunset Terrance Community, Harlan Community and the City of Keswick. All areas affected by the Carr Fire.
