Advisory - Concern over multiple-substance impaired drivers leads Labor Day weekend maximum enforcement effort
Multiple substances found in 44 percent of fatally injured drivers, including cannabis
WHAT: In preparation for enhanced impaired-driving enforcement over the Labor Day holiday, young drivers will suit up in one of Ford Motor Company's drugged and drunk driving suits (simulate being under the influence of marijuana and alcohol) and attempt to drive controlled courses. Leaders in law enforcement, insurance and traffic safety will discuss the effects of drug, alcohol and distraction impairments on a driver's ability to operate a vehicle safely and the consequences for drivers arrested for impaired driving.
