How do I get licensed as a business entity?
An online or paper application cannot be submitted to CDI unless the applicant's business name is approved and reserved. To receive the BENA confirmation number and reserve the business name, please select the following link for important information for both California residents and non-residents:

How do I start the online application process?
Before you can submit your application, please ensure you have your BENA confirmation number from the previous step then select the following link to register for a new Agency Account or Individual Account.
Create a new or sign in to an existing agency or individual Sircon Account.
After setting up the Sircon account you can proceed to; Apply for a License. You will insert your legally registered business name and Employer Identification Number (EIN). Your BENA confirmation number will then be requested. Please make sure all required documents are submitted or there will be a delay in the issuance of the license.

What are the procedures for a Business Entity to merge or acquire another Business Entity?
Merger: CDI requires a letter signed by an officer, member, manager or all partners informing CDI of a merger and completion of the Business Entity Disclosure form, LIC BED-1, to inform CDI of any changes in officers, managers, members, partners and stockholders.
Acquisition: CDI requires a letter signed by an officer, member, manager or all partners informing CDI of an acquisition and completion of the Business Entity Disclosure form, LIC BED-1, to inform CDI of any changes in officers, managers, members, partners and stockholders.
