I need help. Who do I contact?
In California, different agencies regulate different types of health coverage. We, at the California Department of Insurance, are one of these agencies. California's Department of Managed Health Care is another. If you have a question and don't know which Department to ask, try these tips:
- Visit our Health Insurance Basics Overview and Types of Coverage pages to match your type of coverage with the agency that regulates it.
- You can also check the materials you were given when you signed up for coverage. Your evidence of coverage and other policy or plan documents include instructions about who to turn to when you have a complaint.
