Insurer Supplier Diversity Resources
Insurer Supplier Diversity Directory
One of the key missions of the Insurance Diversity Initiative is to increase insurer procurement from diverse suppliers. This list is designed to help both insurance companies and diverse suppliers foster and maintain fruitful relationships. All information was gathered from the 2022 CAIDS (California Insurance Diversity Survey). Go forth and prosper!
Diverse Certification Agencies*
Supplier diversity certification occurs through a third-party certification agency - usually an organization that promotes the development of minority-, women-, disabled veteran-, veteran-, and/or LGBT-owned businesses. The process involves multiple steps to completion, which may include: documentation, screening, interviews, and possibly on-site visits to confirm that the business is indeed diverse. Based upon the certifying agency, the application process may take several weeks or months before it is approved.
*The following list is intended for informational purposes only. The process of certification is optional and at the discretion of the controlling entity of the business enterprise. It is highly encouraged that business owners conduct the necessary research for each respective certification entity.
